Hearing to review the decision of President Clinton to invoke his executive
authority to provide a financial package to assist Mexico in its current
debt crisis and stabilize the peso.
The assistance package, which does not require Congressional approval,
includes use of long-term loan guarantees from the Department of Treasury
Exchange Stabilization Fund.
