Committee Serial No. 102-19. Hearings before the Subcom on Trade to examine
economic and other implications for the U.S. and Mexico of the proposed
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), to be negotiated by the U.S.,
Canada, and Mexico to promote the liberalization of trade and investment
among the countries.
Hearings were conducted in light of the Administration request for
extension of Trade Act of 1974 expiring provisions for accelerated (fast
track) procedures in Congressional consideration of trade agreement
implementation legislation.
