 Recommends passage, with an amendment in the nature of a substitute, of
 H.J. Res. 187, to approve the Compact of Free Association (text, p. 64-111),
 signed Oct. 1, 1982, between the U.S. and the Federated States of
 Micronesia, and June 25, 1983, between the U.S. and the Republic of the
 Marshall Islands, providing for termination of the TTPI trusteeship
 arrangement and establishment of a new political relationship with the U.S.
   Includes additional, dissenting, and supplemental views (p. 115-167).
   H.J. Res. 187 is companion to S.J. Res. 77, and similar to 98th Congress
 H.J. Res. 620.
