 Recommends passage with amendments of H.J. Res. 187, to approve the Compact
 of Free Association (text, p. 78-148) signed Oct. 1, 1982 between the U.S.
 and the Federated States of Micronesia, and June 25, 1983 between the U.S.
 and the Republic of the Marshall Islands, providing for termination of the
 TTPI trusteeship arrangement and establishment of a new political
 relationship with the U.S. Also conditionally approves the Compact of Free
 Association between the U.S. and Palau signed May 23, 1984.
   Appendix (p. 149-622) includes texts of multilateral and bilateral
 subsidiary agreements between the U.S. and the three TTPI jurisdictions,
 including agreements pertaining to telecommunication services, law
 enforcement, Federal programs and services, and military forces.
   Includes supplemental views (p. 620-622).
   H.J. Res. 187 is similar to 98th Congress H.J. Res. 620.
