of China (PRC) during Sept. and Oct. 1976, including views on the state of
U.S.-PRC relations (p. 3-13) and Chairman Mao Tse-tung's legacy (p. 13-18).
Also includes the Senator's observations on current PRC policies toward
agriculture, economy, foreign trade, education, population, medical care,
and the remote Sinkiang region.
Recommendations (p. 39-41) endorse expanded U.S.-PRC relations and a
swift settlement of the Taiwan question.
