Report by staff survey team, composed of John H. Sullivan and John C.
Chester on their evaluation of selected population/family planning programs
being supported in developing countries in Asia through Title X of the
Foreign Assistance Act. Review particularly focused on the place of such
programs within the context of U.S. health-related foreign assistance.
Includes brief review of Title X (p. 1-2); survey overall findings (p.
3-12); and country-by-country examination of program policies, progress, and
problems in Korea (p. 13-20), Philippines (p. 21-28), Indonesia (p. 29-36),
and Thailand (p. 37-43).
Briefly reviews (p. 44-50) programs in other sites visited, and a
conference, including: Malaysia, Singapore, Second Asian Population
Conference, and the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
