Administration of the Internal Security Act and Other Internal Security
Laws. Presents an interpretive historical survey of Kuomintang-Communist
relations in the first half of the twentieth century; describes the seizure
by the FBI of over 1700 documents, including many highly classified
Government reports, from the offices of Amerasia magazine and the arrest of
six Americans charged with conspiring to commit espionage; interprets the
Amerasia case in connection with U.S. policy and attitudes toward China
during World War II; and presents 168 of the Amerasia documents (texts p.
116-946), many hitherto unpublished, including translations of Chinese
documents and official diplomatic and intelligence reports written from and
