Korea; compares South and North Korean military and economic strength;
describes U.S. military facilities, personnel, and programs in South
Korea.
Traces South Korean participation in the Vietnam war and the extent of
and secrecy surrounding U.S. support of Korean troops there. Considers
South Korean expectations regarding continued U.S. military presence in
South Korea, and the possible relation between the level of U.S. forces
in Korea and the continued presence of South Korean troops in Vietnam.
Discusses refusal of witnesses to answer questions regarding nuclear
weapons; considers form and objectives of propaganda aimed at North
Korea and the activities of Radio Free Asia and the Voice of UN Command.
