Asia on its study of the recent developments in Southeast Asia. Presents
Committee findings and views on South Vietnamese economy, pacification,
Vietnamization, land reform, communications, problems with contraband, Con
Dao Prison, Cambodia, and Laos. Supplemental views (p. 31-85) include those
of Rep. Augustus F. Hawkins (D-Calif.) with particular criticism of Con Dao
Prison on Con Son Island (exhibit testimony report of five recently released
