『アメリカ太平洋研究』（Pacific and American Studies) 第18号 論文公募

　東京大学大学院総合文化研究科 アメリカ太平洋地域研究センターの研究紀要『アメリカ太平洋研究』（Pacific and American Studies)は、学内外の研究者、大学院生、および大学院修士課程・博士課程修了者*を対象として、アメリカ太平洋地域の研究に資するオリジナルな論文を公募いたします。2017年度の『アメリカ太平洋研究』は、2018年3月に刊行予定です。
*大学院博士課程単位取得退学者を含みます。

公募要領
1) 申し込みの締め切り： 2017 年 7 月 3 日
下記連絡先まで、氏名、所属、連絡先、e-mailアドレス、論文の題目を明記して、Eメールでお申し込みください。
2) 原稿の締め切り： 2017 年 9 月 4 日 必着
アメリカ太平洋地域研究センターまで、ハードコピーを4部、郵送または持参してください。
3) 採否： レフェリー制をとり、採否は、2017年10月中旬に連絡します。
4) ネット上での公開
採用された論文はアメリカ太平洋地域研究センターのWeb上に掲載されます。掲載資料・図版等の著作権の許諾は、必ず著者の責任でお願いします。

執筆上の注意
1) 原稿はA4サイズの用紙に1行40字、40行のレイアウトで印字し、図や注を含めて16枚以内。英語の場合には、図や注を含めて8，000 words 以内。
2) 日本語の場合200‐250 wordsの英文要旨を、英語の場合700-800字程度の和文要旨を付ける。
3) 日本語の場合も横書きとする。
4) 論文の形式は、アメリカ太平洋地域研究センターに執筆要項を請求し、参照すること。原則としてThe Chicago Manual of Style， 16th ed.に準拠すること。
5) 著者の第一言語以外で執筆する場合は、専門家等による校閲を必ず受けること。
6) 著者校正は初校のみとする。校正段階での大幅な修正は認められない。
7) 著者には2部送呈し、別刷りは著者の負担とする。

題目：Race，Refugees and the Present Crisis

内容：In the years during and following the Cambodian genocide，hundreds of thousands of Cambodian refugees were resettled in the US. In the 1980s and 1990s，ten thousand of these refugees arrived in the Bronx，New York City，where they became neighbors with African Americans and Latinos who were living through their own "war" – the urban crisis. Chronicling their unfinished odyssey，through the eyes of one woman，Ra Pronh，Unsettled tells the story of a refugee community’s survival and resistance amid the concentrated poverty of the Bronx. Eric Tang (University of Texas，Austin) locates the Bronx Cambodians and their “unclosed sojourn” within a longer history of war and displacement. In so doing he challenges commonly held notions of humanitarian rescue and relief，arguing that refuge cannot be found when resettlement efforts seek to mask the harsh urban conditions faced by poor people of color，immigrants and refugees in cities across the country.
