Library Card

Tokyo University Library Card for University of Tokyo Library or Komaba Library can give you access to CPAS library.

!Please keep an eye on the expiring date.

CPAS library cannot issue or renew a library card. The expiring date of your library card will be the same as that of your identification card. When you become a junior or enter master’s/doctor’s course, you will be requested to renew your library card. If you have not renewed your card yet, please renew your card at libraries such as University of Tokyo Library or Komaba Library where library card renewal is possible before you come to use CPAS library.


Copying
Copying service can be used in accordance with the Copyright Law, Art. 31.

◆ Books and Periodicals
Copying service is provided in a self-service way. When you use copying service, purchase a university coop copy card at university coop shop (see the map). Please note that this center do not sell copy card.

◆ Micro Materials
You can copy micro materials by a reader printer.

! We close the library for general stocktaking from the middle of March to April every year, so loaned materials should be returned by the last opening day in March (approx. between March 15 and 20) at the end of academic year. Every item must be returned within the current academic year.


Return
Materials can be returned to the library counter. The Library has an outside book return in front of the building. To return by mail, please pack them carefully to avoid damages and send the parcel either by postal service or by private delivery services such as Kuroneko Yamato and Sagawa Kyubin. When you choose to mail from the post office, please register the parcel." ("Kakitome" in Japanese). Please indicate your name and user ID on the parcel.

Reservation
If you want to reserve books out on loan, apply to the library for the reservation through University of Tokyo OPAC Reservation Service.


Delinquency and penalty
If you return an item after the due date, you will be imposed a penalty; you cannot borrow anything during the penalty period which lasts for the same number of days of your delinquency.
